The Digium TE205P board (Wildcard TE205P) is a representative of the next generation of Digium technology, which increases system productivity due to the bus management function. The TE205P board supports E1, T1 and J1 media, providing the required interface for a specific port or for the entire board as a whole. This function allows you to change the signaling between the T1, E1 and J1 devices, which makes it possible to connect inexpensive T1 channel concentrators to the E1 paths. As a result, the Digium Wildcard TE205P board increases the speed of input-output by at least 10 times, the result is a significant reduction in the requirement of the central processor - allowing you to increase the number of boards on one server.
Digium has packaged the TE205P board with various versions of the Asterisk IP-PBX server. The Digium TE205P board supports standard telephony and data protocols, including Primary Rate ISDN voice family (standard North American and European voices), as well as PPP, Cisco, HDLC, and Frame Relay for data transmission.
The TE205P board supports only a PCI slot with a voltage of 5.0 V. The TE210P board only supports a 3.0 V PCI slot. Therefore, such a slot is installed on all current motherboards and on 64-bit PCI architecture.
