Wireless Internet telephony kit (DECT, Skype/PSTN).

Dual-mode operation allows you to choose how to make calls: via a regular phone line or using Skype running on your PC. Simply select who you want to call from the contacts list in the handset and press the talk button.

The CIT300 lets you make SkypeOut calls just like you would from your Skype contacts. Incoming calls are made from Skype or SkypeIn, with the caller's CallerID displayed on the screen. The CIT300 also supports Skype features such as call waiting and voicemail. During a call, you can press Mute for privacy or turn on the speakerphone so that anyone can join you.

In short, the Linksys CIT300 lets you choose how to make calls: via a program running on your PC to other Skype users, or via a regular phone line. So you get all the convenience and features of a cordless phone, plus the high-quality voice quality that Skype provides, without being tied to your computer.
