Mediant 3000 telephone gateways are a compact carrier-class solution with a 2U case height, having 1 or 2 OC-3/STM-1 optical interfaces, each of which can organize from 480 to 2016 voice channels with coding on low-speed codecs. They are designed to organize medium-capacity operator presence points with inclusion in the PSTN via PRI and/or OKS7. Mediant 3000 telephone gateways, providing full duplication with automatic switching and support for OKS7 signaling (via SIGTRAN), are an ideal platform for building nodes and new generation networks (NGN) based on the IP protocol.
AudioCodes introduces the Mediant 3000 high-performance digital gateway with an expandable architecture, which provides excellent voice quality for packet transmission in IP (VoIP) or ATM (VoATM) networks. The compact 2U chassis of the Mediant 3000 allows you to install 2 voice processing cards and a cPCI server for additional applications. The Mediant 3000 provides from 480 to 4032 simultaneous voice channels and supports an interface with the PSTN via OC-3/STM1 interfaces. Thus, the Mediant 3000 allows the operator to organize packet voice transmission over IP, ATM or mixed IP/ATM networks.
