Digium AEX801B - 8 port modular analog PCI-Express x1 3.3V board with 1 Trunk interface

Digium AEX800 is a large eight-port analog board for the PCI Express bus.

The AEX800 board occupies one PCI Express slot and has 8 RJ-11 connectors. This number of ports makes it possible to protect the seating areas of the system unit for the same Digium TDM400B and TDM410 boards. In addition, the presence of primary RJ-11 connectors eliminates the need for special cables to route lines to the cross-panel and other additional connectors, which has a positive effect on reliability whole.

The AEX800 telephone port is configured and operates independently from other FXO modes or FXS interfaces, depending on the modules installed. The AEX800 allows for almost any configuration with FXO and FXS ports: the base board contains two banks, each with 4 analog ports. The skin bank can be installed with either a 4-port module S400M (4 FXS) or X400M (4 FXO), or 2 single-port modules S110M (1 FXS) or X100M (1 FXO). The choice of 4-port modules and S400M X400M is reasonable to achieve maximum capacity. At the same time, the support for single-port modules allows owners of boards based on TDM400P TDM410 to easily switch to the PCI Express bus by purchasing only the AEX800 base board without additional modules.

The Digium AEX800 board is echo-muffled VPMADT032, which makes it possible to increase the volume of the voice without heavy computational interference on the server. As an alternative option for echo muffling, you can use the High Performance Echo Cancellation (HPEC) software from Digium. The HPEC algorithm works according to the G.168 specification and depresses the moon in the range of 16 to 128 ms.

Deciphering the meaning of board models based on AEX800: AEX8PQR, where P means the number of FXS ports, Q means the number of FXO ports. The suffix "B" means that the product is a set of boards and modules, and "E" means that this set includes the VPMADT032 echo-muting module. A special rank is given to boards with 4 new ports, organized by S110M or X100M modules: substitution 0 in the name of the board there is a letter S, which means those whose port banks are occupied by single-port modules.
