Digium AEX800 is the first eight-port VoIP board for the PCI Express bus.
In addition to its Asterisk hardware devices, Digium has introduced the new Digium AEX800 port card. According to the company, it is the first expansion card equipped with eight FXO / FXS ports and designed for VoIP systems with a PCI Express bus.
The AEX800 board occupies one PCI Express slot and is equipped with eight RJ-11 sockets. This, firstly, reduces the need for seats in the server case, and, on the other hand, eliminates the need for additional extension cables and other additional elements, for potential reasons Vidmov.

Like Digium's front-end boards, the AEX800P board can be equipped with an optional hardware echo-muting module VPMADT032. When this option is enabled, echo attenuation uses the High Performance Echo Cancellation (HPEC) solution , which adheres to the G.168 specification and mutes echo in a range of 16 up to 128 ms.
