The Mediant 1000 is a high-performance, all-in-one gateway with an expandable architecture that delivers superior voice over IP (VoIP) performance and optimization. The Mediant 1000 has a modular architecture and supports up to 4 E1 or T1 streams and up to 24 analog FXS/FXO ports in various combinations, providing unmatched flexibility for deploying VoIP technologies in enterprise-scale networks.
In addition to its voice gateway functions, the Mediant 1000 can host applications and serves as an IP-PBX platform.
Mediant 1000 series gateways are fully compatible with most popular gateways, softswitches, proxy servers, IP phones and firewalls.
