Digium TE407P (Wildcard TE407P) is a symbiosis of the market-leading Digium Wildcard TE405P board and the latest VPM450M Octasic echo cancellation module, based on an advanced digital signal processor. The VPM450M module provides a certified, operator-compliant algorithm that is the standard for comparing echo cancellation systems. This latest module is an improvement over the VPM400M module and TE411P/TE406P boards. With the VPM400M module, the maximum echo cancellation capabilities were 16 ms or 128 samples when using 128 channels. The latest VPM450M module can reduce echo tails to 128 ms or 1024 samples for 128 channels (!) in E1 mode or 96 channels in T1/J1 modes. Moreover, this module has all the advantages of Octasic Voice Quality Enhancement technology to ensure excellent sound quality on all speech channels.

Digium has developed the Digium TE407P (TE407) board, which is fully compatible with existing versions of the Asterisk IP-PBX server. Also, the open source driver for the board allows developers to continue working with the hardware, creating their own applications for truly professional solutions. The combination of the Asterisk IP-PBX server and Digium hardware drives new applications of IP telephony in the telecommunications world. From traditional PBXs to IP telephony gateways, solutions based on Digium products determine the path of telecommunications development in the new world of global communications.

The TE407P supports standard telephony and data protocols, including the Primary Rate ISDN voice family (standard North American and European terms), as well as PPP, Cisco, HDLC, and Frame Relay for data.

The TE407P board only supports a PCI slot with a supply voltage of 5.0 V. The TE412P board is used only with a 3.3 V PCI slot. Usually, such a slot is installed on all modern motherboards and on the 64-bit PCI architecture.
