The AEX800 board occupies one PCI Express slot and is equipped with eight RJ-11 sockets. This, firstly, reduces the need for seats in the server case, and, on the other hand, eliminates the need for additional extension cables and other additional elements, for potential reasons Vidmov.

Like Digium's front-end boards, the AEX800P board can be equipped with an optional VPMADT032 hardware echo-muting module. When this option is enabled, echo cancellation uses the High Performance Echo Cancellation (HPEC) solution, which adheres to the G.168 specification and suppresses echo in a range of 16 up to 128 ms.
