The Aastra 6725ip and Aastra 6721ip IP terminals, optimized for Microsoft Lync Server 2010, are the latest additions to Aastra's IP terminal line. These terminals have built-in Microsoft Lync Phone Edition software, offering access and interaction with Microsoft Lync. Both models support Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and the Aastra 6725ip also includes USB interfaces. When connected to Microsoft Lync, these terminals become a powerful Unified Communications (UC) tool. These new terminals provide reliability and excellent voice communications.

Microsoft Lync Server 2010 delivers huge savings by consolidating communications capabilities and hardware configuration tools. Microsoft Lync combines messaging and presence, voice communications, and audio, video, and Web conferencing. Familiar office applications are complemented by video and audio conferencing, desktop sharing, instant messaging, Internet telephony, voice recognition, and presence control. In addition, the user is given the option of choosing a device for collaboration - for example, calling from a computer to a mobile phone without disconnecting from the conversation.
