Polycom SoundPoint IP 560 – supports data transfer between computers on the network via the GigE protocol, built-in Polycom HD Voice high-definition sound technology, has a wideband voice codec G.722, has a built-in dual-port GigE switch.
The new Polycom SoundPoint IP 560 IP phone has built-in support for data transfer between computers on the network using the GigE protocol, as well as for communicating with an individual subscriber via a unique IP. Combined with Polycom HD Voice technology, the SoundPoint IP 560 is an ideal solution for businesses that regularly have to manage a large number of simultaneous phone calls and use special applications in their daily work that require wide channels for transmitting information.
In addition to GigE support, the SoundPoint IP 560 has Polycom HD Voice technology built in, providing amazing, life-like voice quality. The key component of the technology is the wideband G.722 voice codec (ITU standard), which is responsible for high-precision voice transmission. Enterprises can benefit from installing IP endpoints with the G.722 codec. The Polycom HD Voice package also includes patented Acoustic Clarity technology, which eliminates noise, echo, and turns the phone into a full-duplex speakerphone.
In a typical office setup, the first network cable runs from the wall connector to the IP phone, and the second cable runs from the phone to the PC. The network connection speed to the PC is limited to what the IP phone can support. If the enterprise has equipment that supports the GigE protocol, the phone must have a full-speed GigE data transfer mode (1 Gbps), otherwise it will be impossible to appreciate the advantages of the GigE connection. The SoundPoint IP 560 phone has a built-in dual-port GigE switch that can eliminate any interference for data transmission to the end PC.
